The S.H.I.N.E. Educational Institute is a division of S.H.I.N.E. Global, Inc. which is a supporting ministry of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church. The S.H.I.N.E. Educational Institute is the newest and most exciting development at S.H.I.N.E. Global Ministry. S.H.I.N.E. Global Ministry™ is designed with one purpose in mind—to be used by God in the preparation of souls for the second coming of Christ. In an effort to fulfill the purpose for which this ministry was founded, we seek to labor as did Christ while He was on the earth, by combining two very important aspects of His ministry—the ministration of the word and the ministry of healing. We believe that, as these two aspects of Christ’s ministry are again reconnected, we will see the Spirit of God move with such power that has not been witnessed since apostolic times.
S.H.I.N.E. is an acronym that stands for Salvation and Health Integrated Neo-Evangelism. Inspiration for the name comes from the prophetic words found within the book of Isaiah, chapter 60, verses 1 and 2: “Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee. For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the LORD shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee.”
Jeff Louis is a marketer and entrepreneur who loves to use his skills and experiences to help others, especially those who want to advance God's kingdom. He is the business director and chief marketing officer at Focus Integrative Healthcare, a functional medicine practice located in Atlanta, Georgia, USA. He has successfully started two cash-pay practices in two different states. He has earned two Bachelor’s degrees, one from Andrews University and another from Georgia State University. His unique experiences and teaching gifts have prepared him to instruct effectively in marketing, sales, and entrepreneurship. He gained an international perspective while teaching English in Anyang, South Korea. He has also helped in leading out, planning, and facilitating evangelistic and health campaigns in the states of Arkansas, New York, and Arizona. His passion is to help equip mission-driven entrepreneurs to succeed at their businesses so they can further their missions.
Dr. Janelle Louis is an author and a licensed naturopathic doctor. Dr. Louis specializes in helping people who have experienced adverse childhood experiences overcome the four categories of chronic health concerns that they are at increased risk for—mental health concerns, reproductive concerns, autoimmune conditions, and metabolic syndrome-related concerns. In addition to her ND degree from Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine and Health Sciences, she also holds a B.A. in Applied Linguistics and an A.S. in Biology.
Her unique educational experience has prepared her to instruct others by presenting seemingly complex concepts in an easy-to-understand manner and to assist in organizing and conducting sustainable community medical missions. Using the health ministry to introduce people to Jesus has always been her purpose and passion. In order to help advance this much-needed work, she desires to fulfill the great need of imparting biblically- and scientifically-sound training to others so that they may labor intelligently, responsibly, and systematically for the cause of Christ.
